Wow - I feel so naive. How could I have missed such an obvious love? Of course, I always felt that the Shining was misunderstood. It's so obvious that the writers were trying to convey how father's should do whatever it takes to bring out the beautiful light held captive in their young sons. What is wrong with out society that we can't get that? Geez! [ha, ha] - laney
